Precious Summer Weekends

Where did Spring go?

Since that particular season didn’t roll out according to most of our plans, those summer weekends are going to be more precious than ever.  Be purposeful with them!In this moment, life is different in so many ways including the ability to go to a restaurant, a national park or even the movies.  To do the things we want to do is going to take some planning.

What you don’t want to do is begin thinking about how to spend your weekend that Saturday morning.  Even if you want to just work on a project at home, it can still be challenging to get in and out of stores or find the supplies and ingredients you need. While concerts and some travel are off the table for 2020, if you want to get out for even a simple adventure, it’s not as easy as it once was. Many places, including national parks, now require reservations forcing you to plan ahead.

With this in mind, consider taking just a few minutes in the next day or so and think through the experiences you’d like to have this summer.  For any one of those experiences that require a little pre-planning or reservations, put those events on your calendar.  It will remind you to do what you need to do to actually make those activities happen.

While summer is about having fun and relaxing, planning in advance gives you the opportunity to kick back and enjoy yourself.  Five minutes of your time now can help make your summer that much better.Remember, living a Savvy Life is about being purposeful with your time as well as your money.
